With each new coming season I become very excited for the change. The change in temperature, the change in the greenery around me, the change in clothing, the change in activities. One of my favorite transitions is summer to fall. I love fall. There is something so warm and cozy about it that makes my heart flutter. I get to curl up in a blanket on the couch with slippers on to watch a great show, instead of sweating my brains off (or having an outrageous electricity bill) like I've done for the last few months. {don't get me wrong, I LOVE summer too} The food of fall is amazing ~ the soups, the stews, the hot drinks, and how can I forget all the wonderful Thanksgiving food?! Have I mentioned I love food? (but my jeans don't)
The smells...mmmm. Nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, food cooking, herbs....sooo delicious!

Pumpkins : I adore pumpkins... Finding the perfect one in a pumpkin patch, carving them, roasting the seeds, and oohh the things that can be made with the flavor of pumpkin. Pumpkin pies! When I was little I once ate 9 pumpkin pies by myself over about 2 weeks (granted it was pretty much the only thing I would eat because I was on chemo....but still).

Today fall is in the air.
