Lazy Friday

A rundown of day 2 of my 4 day weekend. Since I know you all care so much.

1. Slept in.
2. Watched the season premier of Bones (one of my favorite shows)...thanks to Ryan I was able to watch it today and not yesterday because he's extremely tech/internet savvy. I love this time of the year when all my favorite shows start up for the season. Watched the season premier of Fringe last night. It was great.
3. Watched the View from this morning (sans commercials, again thanks to Ryan), co-host Kate Gosselin was on and I enjoyed hearing her view on things. There's a lot of controversy going on about her, her show, her life, her family and how she's raising her children. I can say though that I like her and think she is a good mom - doing a lot for her kids from where she's ended up. People may say she's a witch but how she's handled this whole divorce and the tabloids I would have to say she's the bigger person in the relationship and has taken the higher road.
4. Made scrambled eggwhites/onions/peppers/cheese for breakfast
5. Took the dogs out (mine and the one I'm watching) about 80 times. Including throwing the ball for them until they got too hot and exhausted. Then they pooped out on the floor for a few hours.
6. Found a great new fall candle AND a Lenox tablecloth for $5....beat that!
7. Watched Oprah, been a long time.
8. Blogged.
9. Ate dessert before dinner :)
10. Skipped spinning class. Bad Katie.
11. Drank green tea. Trying really hard to drink it once a day
11. Read a sermon online. By the Pastor of my church back home. {kind of amazing, huh mom?} Yep, I did. It was about 'Embracing the Uncomfortable' in life. Not always taking the popular road but taking the right road ~ the Christian road ~ the one that can be hard and uncomfortable at times but is truly the best way there is. "Being faithful is hard. Taking guff for it is hard. Resisting social pressure is hard. But it is worth it, and that’s the point! Here on earth, it’s worth it to live a life we can be proud of, a life that enriches others, a life that fulfills our potential. And in the light of eternity, it will be worth it infinitely more!"

So where do you stand? Do you take the easy way or the right way? Are you proud of the path you're traveling on?

And that's my day in a nutshell. Pretty interesting, right? I know. That's how I roll. :)
