Have a few minutes on your hand to check out another great blog? Head on over to Healthy Tipping Point, the perfect go-to blog on pretty much anything: eating healthy, being healthy, exercising, running (she has SO much great information on running, how to train for an event, prepare, eat properly, gear, you name it, she's covered it), dealing with injuries, it seriously goes on and on. I could get lost 'learning' from her blog for hours. Don't run? No problem, she has plenty of other stuff to intrigue you - or maybe she'll inspire you to pick up a pair of running shoes and start at ground zero.
The gal (Caitlin) is a coach for Girls on the Run, an awesome program for girls that involves training for a 3.1 mile run as well as enhancing their self-esteem and teaching them to love who they are. They have programs all over the United States, maybe you can find a group in your area and help out at one of their events. I hope to volunteer at their spring run in May. If my schedule was a little different I would love to be a coach for one of the groups. Maybe someday.
Caitlin has also launched a program on her blog called Operation Beautiful, which is a program that 'transforms the way you see yourself one post-it-note at a time'. This is such a cool idea because she (and the members of her group) are working to improve self image in people all over the world through these simple post-its. If we all got involved in this (all you friends of mine, around the US) we would really be working to make a difference by spreading the word of beauty through simple notes. Check out the site and see if you can handle a few post-its here and there.
Anyway, I sound like I'm advertising for this gal, when really I just stumbled upon her blog one day, like I do all my blogs I follow and have been glued to it ever since!
